Recently, I was a one of 45 students on the 2011 Xaverian Pilgrimage to Italy. It served as a journey in our faith life, as well as opened us all up to new experiences. Our journey really began months before, with our formation meetings and group dinner, leading to the June 14th take off from Logan Airport.
After landing at 7 a.m. Rome time, we had a full day ahead of us. Msgr. Deeley provided a tour of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and following our tour we had an opportunity to explore St. Peter’s Square. We celebrated our first mass in Rome at St. Monica’s Chapel, led by Father Bryan Parish. (Click here to read the full story)
