Pilgrimage to Italy 2011

By Colin Kiley ’12

Recently, I was a one of 45 students on the 2011 Xaverian Pilgrimage to Italy. It served as a journey in our faith life, as well as opened us all up to new experiences. Our journey really began months before, with our formation meetings and group dinner, leading to the June 14th take off from Logan Airport.

After landing at 7 a.m. Rome time, we had a full day ahead of us. Msgr. Deeley provided a tour of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and following our tour we had an opportunity to explore St. Peter’s Square. We celebrated our first mass in Rome at St. Monica’s Chapel, led by Father Bryan Parish. (Click here to read the full story)

This week our Youth Lacrosse Clinic is taking place at The Hawk Bowl, part of the 2011 Xaverian Youth Sports Clinics.

All participants get a t-shirt and learned from two great Xaverian coaches, Sean Noonan and Gary Bowers.

The campers also learned from current Xaverian varsity athletes, and special guests.
