This year’s Xaverian Legacy celebrating 20 years of Exemplary Leadership was another giant success. At the end of the evening Xaverian raised $343,463 that will go towards the Xaverian Scholarship Fund. Over 500 people were in attendance to support and continue on the mission of Xaverian to provide an outstanding Catholic education to all deserving students.
There were many highlights during the evening. Certainly one of highlights for freshman Sean Gorman was winning the Gala Car Raffle that was sponsored by Robert Boch P’06, ’09 of Expressway Toyota, Dorchester. We are pretty sure Sean’s older brother, Billy (a senior) will be driving around the cool new Toyota Scion first since his younger brother doesn’t get license for a few more years.
The other highlight of the night was when Rick Spillane ’68, Chair, Board of Trustees and Jack Egan ’75, Vice Chair presented on behalf of the Board a check for $280,650. The check was a result of the Xaverian Trustee Challenge. The challenge was made to the entire Xaverian community to give above and beyond their current donations made each year. For every dollar that was increased, the Trustees would match. The Trustees came up with the challenge to celebrate 20 years of incredible leadership at Xaverian.
Here is a short video highlighting the amazing last 20 years.
